Mike Stanton's journey to becoming the President & CEO of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) in January 2021, is marked by an impressive track record of leadership and expertise in the automotive industry. His career at NADA began in May 2000, initially serving as the National Sales Manager for the NADA Used Car Guide, where he spent over two years before transitioning to the role of Executive Director of Industry Affairs at NADA from May 2002 to October 2006. In these early roles, Stanton demonstrated his ability to lead and advocate effectively for dealer interests.

Before his current leadership position, Stanton contributed significantly to NADA's success as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2018 to December 2020, where he played a crucial role in the organization's operations and strategic planning. His tenure at J.D. Power from July 2015 to December 2017 as VP/General Manager, and earlier as Vice President & COO of the NADA Used Car Guide from October 2006 to July 2015, further solidified his expertise in automotive valuation and market analysis.

Stanton's comprehensive experience within the automotive industry, coupled with his academic background—a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from James Madison University and an MBA from Virginia Tech—has equipped him with a unique blend of skills to navigate the challenges and opportunities facing automobile dealers today. As President & CEO of NADA, Mike Stanton continues to be a pivotal figure, guiding the association and its members through a rapidly evolving automotive landscape while advocating for the interests of automobile dealers nationwide.
