Jamie Butters is a veteran automotive industry journalist and communicator with more than 25 years covering the business of making and selling cars. He previously served as executive editor of Automotive News and Detroit bureau chief for the Wall Street Journal.

In February 2026 he launched Butters Bureau LLC to expand his thought leadership into public speaking, consulting, analysis, storytelling, strategy and publishing.
